Freestone Expeditions has taken the experience of catskill mountain fly fishing and made it more personal, more experiential and more remote. From their perch above Central Park, the folks at Bush Smarts encourage you to get inspired and begin your walk with legends.

Hatchet Outdoor Supply Co. is a boutique outdoor equipment store, serving the NYC community from their location in Brooklyn Heights. They carry camping and hiking equipment and an impressive selection of heritage clothing and footwear, much of it made in the United States, Canada and Japan.

Teton Backcountry Rentals is the go-to delivery service for backcountry equipment in the Jackson Hole and Yellowstone area. Whether it’s for a summer backpacking or camping trip, or a winter ski tour, they’ve got what you need.

718 Cyclery–a full-service bike shop based in Gowanus, Brooklyn–was founded on the principle of being practitioners of 100+ year old technology, not the guardians of it.  Through their engaging series of free workshops, collaborative builds and shop rides, they create an environment where arrogance and attitude have no place. Event, Content and Creative

OutdoorFest is reshaping the way we experience life in the city. Through inspiration and experience, OutdoorFest is helping New Yorkers maintain their connection with nature and outdoor exploration. OutdoorFest’s largest event is a 10-day festival that takes place each summer in select locations across New York City.

MyHarriman.com was launched with a modest goal: to answer every conceivable question about Harriman State Park and Bear Mountain. If you’re interested in hiking, swimming, boating, camping, skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, bird watching, picnicking, or kayaking within easy striking distance of New York City, consider a visit to this site.

Nature & Nurture Creative is a multidisciplinary studio with experience in brand identity, graphic design, social media marketing, email marketing, and web design. They have worked with a diverse set of clients in many business sectors, with particular interest in the Outdoor Industry.

Unboring Exploring offers a visual romp through the greater metro area’s wilderness. Using wit and whimsy Krysti Sabins, the site’s author, produces light-hearted video reviews of state and national parks in the northeast and beyond. Fun, engaging, and just a bit campy, the site is sure to offer insights as well as laughs.

Florian Hill,  the German-born mountaineer, has split his time over the past few years between New York City and Haines, Alaska. In that time, we’ve gotten to know Florian personally, and have admired his efforts to discover new routes in the borderlands between Alaska and Canada.
